A traditional zine (pronounced "zeen") is a small, self-published printed magazine or book typically produced using low-tech means. Zines are still popular forms of independent publishing, especially in underground communities, and they provide a powerful way to communicate about culture and ideas. Even though blogs are not usually considered zines (especially by purists), The Studio Zine blog is our way of honoring zine traditions while more immediately satisfying our burning need to share our energy with the world.
